Pacific Crest Industries has developed SpectraMetal, an exciting new process of engraving highly reflective patterns into the surface of decorative metals. These patterns have thousands of microscopic reflective facets per square inch, resulting in a three dimensional appearance with such depth and brilliance never before achieved by any other process.

This unique process is computer guided which allows the patterns to be scaled to fit any application, and also insures that each sheet is an identical match. Patterns can be tiled over large areas with exact registration along joints providing a seamless appearance. Patterns can also be mixed within one sheet (e.g.. On a vertically oriented panel the bottom 36" could be one pattern and the upper portion another, replicating a wainscot/wall covering,but in a single sheet of highly reflective metal!)

SpectraMetal when used in conjunction with a small amount of direct accent lighting, can give the appearance of a fully illuminated wall or ceiling with a fraction of the power consumption. In addition, the use of colored lighting can provide astonishingly beautiful effects

Application:

SpectraMetalis ideal for all interior applications with some alloys suitable for exterior use. Sheets can be sheared, notched, and formed the same as any sheet metal product. Uses include: wall paneling; ceiling tiles; column covers; cabinetry facing; counter tops; door skins; soffits; railing inserts; auto trim; or practically anywhere you can imagine. Stainless steel SpectraMetal is particularly useful in hospitals and restaurants because it provides a beautifully decorated surface that is completely sanitizable.

SpectraMetal should not be used on horizontal surfaces where foot traffic or high-wear use could scuff the finish. Aluminum, Brass, and Copper sheets will be clear-coated to prevent oxidation (care should be exercised when using copper or brass in wet environments because the metal will eventually tarnish underneath the clear-coat).

Custom Uses:

In addition to our standard patterns, custom designs can be easily created to coordinate with your specific requirements. Your designs can be used alone or in conjunction with one or more of our standard patterns to achieve an endless number of combinations. Graphic murals can also be created using the SpectraMetal process. Thematic walls depicting either a product or a locale, engraved into beautiful stainless steel cladded walls are perfect for restaurants with "up-front" food prep areas.

Colors:

When the design dictates color, patterned aluminum sheets can be color-coated with no reduction in brilliance. Contact the factory for actual color samples. (more info.)
