SpectaMetal Guitar Pick-Guards

Our pick-guards are made from solid .060” thick aluminum which is laser cut to insure accuracy and quality. They are then expertly finished with a patented engraving process which gives the appearance of a 3-dimensional pattern but is perfectly flat to the touch. Finally a state-of-the-art clear-coat, which is cured with ultra-violet light, is applied to provide lasting beauty and durability.

“…Why an aluminum pick-guard?”

The main reason is superior EMI (electromagnetic interference) shielding. Your electric watch, cell. phone, amp, speakers, effects pedals, etc., all emit EMI which can introduce pops, buzzes, and distortion into the sensitive electronics in your guitar. Factory plastic pick-guards have a thin piece of aluminum foil on the back which is inadequate protection against EMI, most after-market pick-guards don’t even have that. Our solid aluminum pick-guard provides more than a 600% increase in protection against EMI intrusion. Aluminum pick-guards also won’t warp, crack or discolor over time, and the unique finishes will enhance and individualize the appearance of you guitar.
